After between 3 and 6 feet of snow fell across western New York last week, an early week warmup may lead to flooding problems in some areas.
Mild weather through the daytime hours Tuesday will allow some of the piled-high snow to melt, resulting in pooling water on roadways and low-lying underpasses.

With several feet of accumulated snow, not all of it will melt. However, areas suffering from plowed-over storm drains or drains clogged with autumn leaves may see some problems.
The threat will end by Tuesday night as cold air returns to the area, erasing the springlike warmth and ushering in more seasonable temperatures. Additional opportunities for snow showers will return later in the week.
