As is typical of spring, temperatures will remain on a roller coaster ride this week in Philadelphia.
Those who have to head back to work and school will likely wish that the holiday weekend was extended an extra day since Monday will feature great weather for outdoor plans and activities.
Temperatures will soar to around the 70-degree mark underneath plenty of sunshine.
Further warming will occur on Tuesday ahead of a cold front with temperatures approach 75 F.
The warmth will not last long as the cold front sweeps a shower or two through late Tuesday afternoon and evening. It is not out of the question for a rumble of thunder to be heard.

Temperatures will then take a tumble in the front's wake, leading to highs in the lower 60s on Wednesday. A brisk wind will create even lower AccuWeather.com RealFeel® temperatures.
As quick as the cooler air arrives, it will depart and give way to rebounding temperatures later in the week.
