After receiving 0.4 of an inch of rain Tuesday, drier weather will linger in the area throughout the week until Friday.
"High pressure building into the area Wednesday will promote plenty of sunshine with afternoon highs in the middle 60s, right around the average for late April," AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Carl Erickson said.

A weak disturbance passing by to the north along with an onshore flow in place will bring a return to clouds Wednesday night, he said.

"This feature will remain far enough north to keep the weather dry in the Bay area into Thursday with times of clouds and sunshine and highs in the lower 60s," Erickson said.
A more robust system with a strong cold front will bring an increased chance for wet weather Friday and cooler air with highs in the upper 50s.
San Francisco received rain for the first time early this week since April 4. Despite the chance for rain Friday, dry weather will return into the weekend.
"Dry, breezy and cool heading into the weekend with highs both Saturday and Sunday in the lower to middle 60s," he said.
