In the wake of a storm system passing through with showers and a thunderstorm, some sunshine is in store for the Pittsburgh area on Saturday.
However, enough moisture will remain to allow spotty showers and thunderstorms to develop during the midday and afternoon, while a breeze kicks up. Keep an eye out for rapidly changing weather conditions if you will be outdoors away from shelter.
While Saturday will be the warmer of the two weekend days with a high in the 60s F, dry weather is in the offing on Sunday as high pressure moves in to stabilize the atmosphere.
Monday is likely to be the nicest day of next week ahead of a large and slow-moving storm forecast to move in from the Central states by evening.
That storm has the potential to bring rounds of soaking rain, locally strong thunderstorms and cool conditions over several days. In other words, the weather next week has the potential to be a real annoyance for those with outdoor plans.
