Intermountain West to the eastern Great Lakes.

As this system shifts eastward, it will interact with a warm, muggy air mass moving northward from the Gulf of Mexico. This will bring a chance of severe thunderstorms to the central and southern Plains. Thunderstorms will also be possible over the northern Plains, the upper Midwest and the upper Mississippi Valley.
