Weather Underground Forecast for Saturday,April 26,2014

A cold frontal boundary will move across the Southwest and the Great Basin on Saturday, while a separate cold front will extend from the upper Intermountain West to the eastern Great Lakes.
A cold front will move eastward over the Southwest, the Great Basin and the Intermountain West on Saturday. A mixture of rain and snow is expected to develop along the higher elevations across the Great Basin and the Rockies, while rainy weather will push across lower elevations. Rain is expected to taper off along the West Coast by the late morning, while rain and thunderstorms are forecast to develop across the Four Corners during the afternoon. As this system shifts eastward, it will interact with a warm, muggy air mass moving northward from the Gulf of Mexico. This will bring a chance of severe thunderstorms to the central and southern Plains. Thunderstorms will also be possible over the northern Plains, the upper Midwest and the upper Mississippi Valley.
A separate cold front will extend from eastern Montana to the eastern Great Lakes on Saturday. An area of low pressure along the eastern end of the frontal boundary will usher a mixture of rain and snow across parts of the upper Midwest, the central and eastern Great Lakes and the Northeast. This system will also push rainy weather across the Ohio Valley and the northern Mid-Atlantic. High pressure will keep the southeastern corner of the country clear of wet weather on Saturday.
