Dallas: Another Round of Severe Weather on the Way

Stormy weather will continue in the Dallas area through Thursday morning, but conditions will improve on Friday. However, severe weather will make its return before the end of the weekend.
Friday's highs will be in the 80s with partly sunny skies throughout the day. Highs will approach the record of 91 F set in 1925.
Saturday will be very warm and humid with highs in the 80s. However, temperatures will move into the 60s Saturday night with the chance for scattered thunderstorms in the region.

A severe weather pattern moving east across the central and southern Plains is expected to push into the area Saturday night.
"Dallas probably won't have any issues until at least very late Saturday night, if any," said AccuWeather Meteorologist Dan Kottlowski.
Kottlowski added that whatever thunderstorms develop Saturday night will weaken as they approach the Dallas Metroplex late Saturday night into early Sunday morning.
Throughout the day Sunday, gusty thunderstorms could redevelop just to the west of Dallas and the Fort Worth area.
"Dallas doesn't look like a prime target for severe weather, but certainly they could experience it," Kottlowski said.
