Very changeable weather could be the rule this week with possible record heat and then a wintry mix of precipitation.
Tuesday's high temperature is expected to take a run into the mid-70s ahead of an arctic high and frontal boundary at late week.
The temperature starts to drop Wednesday but the bottom will fall out on Friday.

There is still a great deal of uncertainty, but the boundary associated with the arctic high could hang up in the Deep South and Mississippi Valley, back into Texas.
Friday's high is expected to struggle in the mid-30s with a chance of morning sleet and freezing rain and afternoon rain and drizzle. More of the same is possible Saturday.
