After a mild start to the weekend, the frigid air that moved in Saturday night will last through the start of the new year around Minneapolis.
Even for hardy folks over the Upper Midwest, the cold will not only be painful to be outdoors for long periods of time, but will also be dangerous unless properly dressed for subzero temperatures.
The city will catch a break from wintry precipitation most days. However, enough snow can fall Monday to make for slippery roads.
Temperatures are not forecast to reach the 20s until Friday.
