In the wake of Thursday's snow, Boston will see temperatures rebound this weekend with a new winter storm set to arrive late Sunday.
The departure of the snow will allow plenty of sunshine to return for Friday as temperatures rise into the middle 30s.
Saturday will feature more sunshine as milder air boosts temperatures into the middle 40s.
The pleasant weather will not persist for the entire weekend as a storm will impact the city late Sunday.

Saturday's rebound in temperatures would suggest that the storm will be a mainly rain event for Boston. However, the city will see wet snowflakes mix in Sunday night with more substantial snow in store for the far northern and western suburbs.
The rain and snow are expected to end by Monday, leading to highs in the upper 30s.

However, the passage of a cold front will usher in the arrival of fresh arctic air for the last day of 2013. Temperatures will fail to rise out of the middle 20s on Tuesday.
