Cleveland Bracing for a Blast of Winter

A double-barreled blast of cold air this weekend will deliver the lowest temperatures of the season so far to Cleveland, along with accumulating snow in many locations.
Arctic winds gusting between 40 and 50 mph will begin to blow across the area Saturday afternoon, and by Sunday, actual temperatures will fail to get out of the 20s in many areas. RealFeel temperatures will be in the single digits at times.

Just as the second part of the cold blast arrives Saturday, a burst of snow can occur around Cleveland, while heavy lake-effect snow will persist into Sunday in traditional areas over northeastern Ohio and northwestern Pennsylvania.
AccuWeather.com meteorologists continue to track a storm that will affect the Southwest into the weekend.

During next week, that storm will try to take a northward turn after affecting the South with rain.
Travel disruptions could ripple well west of the East Coast, even if the storm and its snow were to stay east of Cleveland.
Details on the storm will continue be released through the weekend into next week.
