The combination of a snowstorm grazing the Cleveland area and lake-effect following the storm will make for wintry Thanksgiving travel into Wednesday night.
The bulk of the snowstorm will pass over northwestern Pennsylvania and western New York, but enough snow will fall as far west as Cleveland to make for slippery travel into Wednesday.
As the storm rolls up into Canada, gusty northwest winds will set up bands of lake-effect snow focusing over northeastern Ohio and areas hit the hardest by the snowstorm later Wednesday and Wednesday night. However, some of these bands of snow will also impact the Cleveland area.
Motorists heading eastward on I-80 and I-90 should expect major delays as temperatures fall Wednesday and snow accumulates on areas that were previously wet.
Untreated wet and slushy areas around the city will freeze.
Thanksgiving Day is looking to be blustery and cold with lake-effect snow and flurries diminishing.
