The brutal cold will remain in the city this week but temperatures will rise in time for the weekend.
Residents may see some snow showers on Monday and Tuesday afternoons, as high temperatures stay in the mid-30s. Overnight temperatures will be in the 20s.
While the East Coast will experience countless travel delays on the busiest travel day of the year, Wednesday, Detroit's travel conditions will be pretty normal.

Wednesday's skies will be mostly cloudy and the air will continue to be cold, however some wind will also breeze through the city throughout the day.
Thanksgiving day will feature periods of sun but those headed outdoors should wear a coat, as the day's high temperature will be 31 degrees.
Heading into the weekend, temperatures will warm up a bit beginning on Friday.
