A cold front will track southward through Germany on Tuesday followed by gusty winds and cooler air for the middle of the week.
Rain will fall throughout the day on Tuesday from Frankfurt to Berlin, while locations farther south, such as Munich, remain dry and very mild. The rain will sweep through Munich Tuesday night.
Gusty northwest winds will be felt across the entire country on Wednesday and Thursday as cooler air spreads over the region.

Highs on Wednesday will range from 3-7 C (38-45 F), markedly cooler than previous days but still several degrees above normal for the beginning of February.
Accompanying the cooler air, showers will occur at times both Wednesday and Thursday from Hamburg to Berlin. A few showers are also expected each day in Frankfurt and Munich.
Rainfall will generally average 6-12 mm (0.25-0.50 of an inch) through Thursday.
Winds will turn southwesterly on Friday, ushering in very mild air and also bringing an end to the showers.
High temperatures will be near 10 C (50 F) in Frankfurt with the mild air also reaching eastern Germany, including Berlin, where a high of 9 C (48 F) is expected.

Detailed forecast for Berlin

This mild air will remain in place across all of Germany this weekend; however, wet weather will dampen any outdoor plans.
Neither day will be a washout, but an umbrella may be needed on Sunday when the showers are more widespread.
A potent storm system will bring the threat for damaging winds to Germany early next week. The exact track and intensity will determine which locations are at greatest risk.
"There is the potential for wind gusts over 80 km/h (50 mph) that could result in travel delays and power cuts," AccuWeather Meteorologist Tyler Roys said.
