A significant severe weather outbreak will continue through Wednesday from South Carolina to Pennsylvania.
Philadelphia and New York City will face the threat of damaging storms into the evening.
"A line of severe thunderstorms stretching from eastern Pennsylvania southward to eastern North Carolina will continue to track eastward through the evening hours," AccuWeather Meteorologist Brian Edwards said. "Thunderstorms will reach New York City around 11 p.m. or midnight. Thunderstorms through the evening hours can produce wind gusts to 60 mph, flooding downpours, hail and perhaps an isolated tornado or two. The best chance for tornadoes will be within the next couple of hours before the threat diminishes closer to midnight."
This is a continuation from Tuesday's severe weather outbreak which lead to at least three fatalities and dozens of injuries across the Gulf Coast states.
