According to AccuWeather Meteorologist Ed Vallee, "Moisture from Patricia will combine with a storm system across the Upper Midwest by midweek."
"Rain will spread into the region Tuesday into Wednesday with some heavy rainfall possible," he added.
Conditions will slowly improve on Wednesday as the storm system tracks into the Northeast.
Behind this storm system, high pressure will slowly build into the region and bring a stretch of dry weather for the rest of the week.
"Dry conditions could continue for the beginning of the weekend," Vallee said.
