Minneapolis: Above-Average Warmth to Fade Late This Week

After a couple of days with significantly above-average warmth in the Minneapolis area, cooler air will invade the city for much of this week.
For the remainder of the week, those who venture outdoors will notice a stark contrast in temperatures from Monday.
High temperatures in the city will fail to climb above the 50-degree mark. Some days could be more than 15 degrees lower than Monday's high.
The exception could be Friday, when highs have the potential to creep into the mid-50s F.
Rain, or a little snow, could fall for a time on Wednesday. Should the precipitation fall in the form of snow, the milder conditions will prevent any accumulation.

Another cold front moving through the area late in the week will cause weekend highs to drop into the low 40s once again.
Despite the chilly weather, abundant sunshine will span most of the week, providing ample opportunities to get outdoors.
