Windy, wet weather will sweep through Minneapolis to conclude the weekend, before milder and tranquil conditions return to begin the new week.
On Sunday, wind gusts could reach up to 40-50 mph and could lead to power outages and flight delays. Showers will accompany the winds during the morning hours, as highs settle into the upper 40s.
As the workweek begins, dry weather will prevail and the first couple days of the week will serve as a prime opportunity for outdoor activities.
Temperatures will steadily rise into the mid-50s through Tuesday as sunshine hovers over the city. A normal high temperature for this time of year in the city is around 48 F.
To kickoff April, the chance for thunderstorms will return Wednesday during the afternoon hours and temperatures will continue to increase into the 60s.
By Friday, however, cooler air will return to the city, sending daytime highs back into the upper 40s.
