Showers will punctuate the weekend in Detroit as temperatures steadily rise into the new week.
A cold front moving through the city on Sunday will bring some rain and wet snow to the city in the evening hours, with little or no accumulation expected.
It will be breezy and warmer on Monday with partly sunny skies and temperatures reaching the low 50s, which is slightly above average for this time of year.
On Tuesday, a storm system stretching from northern Minnesota to southern New York and northern Pennsylvania will bring a quick-hitting band of snow and narrowly bypass the city. However, AccuWeather.com meteorologists continue to watch for the potential of the track to shift southward and bring some snow to the city. Otherwise a couple of showers will be around during the day.

Temperatures could approach 60 F on Thursday and some showers could dampen the city.
The milder conditions will not last into next weekend, however, as colder air will have daytime highs sitting in the 40s on Saturday and Sunday.
