Harrisburg: Spring Warmth to Struggle to Hang on This Week

The battle between spring warmth and stubborn chill will continue around the Harrisburg area this week.
The weekend chill will give way to a rebound in temperatures on Monday. Temperatures will return to a more seasonable high, eclipsing Sunday's high by about 10 degrees.
A high in the middle 50s is more common this time of year.
Sunshine and calm winds, however, will not compliment the milder air.

A storm system sweeping through the Northeast will instead deliver clouds and brisk winds. A little snow or wintry mix will occur prior to dawn.
The winds will hold AccuWeather.com RealFeel® temperatures below actual temperatures.
On the heels of this system will be another set to spread a narrow and quick-hitting band of snow from the Upper Midwest to the Northeast Tuesday into Tuesday night.
Latest indications point toward Harrisburg remaining on the warm side of this storm, leading to rain returning in the afternoon with snow falling to the north.

If the storm takes a more southern track than currently expected, temperatures may fall short of Tuesday's current forecast high and wet snow could fall.
A significant chill at midweek will not follow Tuesday's system. Temperatures on Wednesday should only be held a few degrees below normal.
After the cold this weekend and with sunshine in the forecast, most residents will likely view Wednesday as a comfortable day. AccuWeather.com RealFeel® temperatures will actually be slightly higher than actual temperatures thanks to a lack of wind and the stronger March sun.

Another surge of warmth will follow for Thursday, sending temperatures well into the 60s. As is typical of spring, the mild air does not look to hold firm with yet another shot of cool air in the works for Easter weekend.
