A major snowstorm struck the Middle Atlantic region on Jan. 27-28, 1922.
The storm brought record snowfall to the nation's capital. The storm is
also known as the Knickerbocker Storm because it caused the deadly roof
collapse of the Knickerbocker Theatre in Washington, D.C.
