Despite the mild air through midweek, the Windy City is experiencing a drastic temperature drop as a cold air mass moves in right in time for the weekend.
After temperatures hit 57 degrees on Wednesday, Thursday turned colder with the temperature dropping into the mid-20s by late afternoon.
Beginning Friday, temperatures stay in the 20s with overnight temperatures in the teens. Despite partly sunny skies on Saturday, the city will be cold as the high temperature is forecasted to only reach 22 degrees.
Snow flurries may make another appearance in the city Sunday night.
