Despite the mild air through midweek, the Windy City will experience a drastic temperature drop as a cold air mass moves in right in time for the weekend.
After temperatures near 55 degrees on Wednesday, Thursday will turn a bit colder as temperatures drop into the mid-30s.

Thursday's skies will be cloudy and the clouds will continue through the day on Friday.
Beginning Friday, temperatures will drop into the 20s with overnight temperatures in the teens. Despite partly sunny skies on Saturday, the city will be cold as the high temperature is forecasted to only reach 23 degrees.
While temperatures will swing back into the 30s on Sunday, snow flurries may make another appearance in the city Sunday night.
