After a severe ice storm knocked out power for thousands last weekend, the weather ahead is looking brighter for the city.
As temperatures Thursday reach 44 F, partly sunny skies in the afternoon should help melt remaining ice around the city.
Although Friday will bring showers and clouds to Dallas, the air will feel a bit warmer as temperatures hit the 50s during the daytime hours.

For the weekend, temperatures will remain in the high 40s to low 50s, as skies will be at least partly sunny for the entirety of the weekend.
Saturday may be a little gusty, however, as a wind from the northwest sweeps through. Wind gusts up to 27 mph are possible.

For those headed outdoors, Sunday will be the sunniest of the two weekend days.
Heading into next week, sunshine will be aplenty and temperatures will rise up to the 60s.
Monday through Wednesday will feature temperatures in the low 60s and plenty of sunshine.
Thursday will also have some sunny skies, but it will also be windy in the city. The first chance for some significant clouds will come on Friday.
