Arctic cold will stick around Pittsburgh through Friday, then a storm will affect the area this weekend.
The coldest weather of the season so far is poised to settle in Wednesday night into Thursday night.
The frigid air will produce bands of very heavy lake-effect snow mainly north of Pittsburgh.
Temperatures may dip into the single digits Thursday night.

Real Feel® temperatures will dip to below zero at time.
Another storm will roll out of the South Central states this weekend.
While the storm will blast away some of the cold air, it may also squeeze out heavy wintry precipitation for a time Saturday.

Working on the next storm this weekend. Looks like a snowstorm with the snow axis form St. Louis to Boston.
