Winter Storm Ursula was named Sunday afternoon when the National Weather Service issued winter storm warnings covering more than 2 million people, meeting the population criteria.

Winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories have been issued from Michigan to southern New England for Sunday night into Monday. Most areas will see light to moderate snow, with some areas possibly receiving 5 to 8 inches through Monday.

Winter Storm Ursula Forecast
With the cold air in place, more snow is expected in parts of the Upper Midwest, Great Lakes and Northeast. Winds will be gusty at times, although winds are not expected to be as strong as this weekend.(FORECASTS: Green Bay | Cleveland | Boston)
- Sunday: Low pressure will bring snow to the Upper Midwest and northern Great Lakes during the day.
- Sunday night-Monday: Snow spreads from the northern Great Lakes to Upstate New York, northern Pennsylvania and New England.
- Accumulations: A narrow corridor will see up to 6 inches of total snow from southern New York to southern New England, though the majority of locations will see 1 to 3 inches.
- The Monday morning commute will likely be impacted by the snow in Albany, New York, Boston, and Hartford, Connecticut.
- A rare April flash freeze is also possible in southern New England on Monday, which could create slippery conditions for the evening commute.
