Highs will trend above average through Saturday in the Atlanta area before thunderstorms drop temperatures closer to average by Sunday.
"Thursday will be a nice day but there could be a shower or thunderstorm around," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Mike LeSeney said.

Any shower or thunderstorm on Thursday could produce hail and damaging winds. Anyone outdoors should keep an eye to the sky and find shelter when a thunderstorm approaches.
High pressure will arrive by Friday as highs will approach record levels.
"Summerlike warmth will arrive by Friday but thankfully not the summerlike humidity," LeSeney said.
