Despite seasonable temperatures, Germany will face a dreary pattern this week as a series of disturbances supply wet weather to most of the country.
This dampness will be in stark contrast to the beginning of the month, when a dry pattern dominated the region.

As of 10 April, Berlin Tegel Airport had not seen a drop of rain, while temperatures were averaging 2.7 C (4.9 F) above normal.
On Wednesday, the first disturbance to break this trend will move into Germany and bring showers and thunderstorms to Bavaria and Baden-Wuttemberg, with some afternoon rain to Rheinland, Hessen and Thuringen.
"Some of these storms in the afternoon could bring damaging wind gusts and produce large hail, especially in Baden-Wuttemberg," AccuWeather Meteorologist Tyler Roys said.

Berlin, Germany, forecast
For those wishing for the dry weather to return, an opportunity will arise on Thursday, at least for areas in west and central Germany. Rain will be departing Berlin and surrounding areas in the morning hours.
It will also be a couple of degrees cooler for those areas behind Wednesday's disturbance and will remain cloudy for many locations.
Friday will more widespread unsettled weather with showers and thunderstorms for much of Germany. It will be a rather breezy day across Niedersachsen with a westerly wind.
For those waiting to get outside, the weekend may not provide optimal conditions either.
While drier air will begin working in, Saturday and Sunday could be some of the coldest days of the week. Warm and dry weather won't return until early next week with both warmth and dry weather in the offing.
