Chilly conditions are forecast for Atlanta through the start of the weekend, but a shift to warmer weather is ahead for next week.
It will turn cooler and breezy on Friday with some sunshine and highs in the low 60s, according to AccuWeather Meteorologist Brian Edwards. By Saturday, it will feel even colder with highs only in the upper 50s thanks to a continued gusty wind.
A normal high temperature for this time of year in the city is 70 F.
Golf fans planning on attending one of the early rounds at the Masters this week will want to have a jacket handy, especially during the morning hours.
The three-game series between the Braves and Cardinals this weekend at Turner Field will not be in danger of running into any weather delays.

It will be warmer on Sunday with mostly sunny skies as temperatures settle in the mid-60s. The warmth will continue into the start of the new week.
"Temperatures will even go well above average by Tuesday, though there may be some showers and thunderstorms to go along with the warmer weather," Edwards said. "High temperatures Tuesday will reach the upper 70s."
