Residents from Texas to Louisiana should be on alert for life-threatening flooding this weekend.
The system will unleash 4-8 inches of rain across portions of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana with the potential for some communities to receive a foot or more of rain through Sunday.
Travel disruptions, flight delays and road closures are possible due to the heavy rainfall expected.
Moisture from record-breaking Hurricane Patricia will contribute to the life-threatening flooding that will inundate the South Central states this weekend.
