Pittsburgh to Turn Drier Sunday Before a Spring Tease

Following a wet Saturday, a drier end to the weekend is shaping up for Pittsburgh before a tease of spring warmth kicks off the new week.
Saturday's rain will be replaced with some sunshine and gusty winds on Sunday.
The drier weather will give the smaller creeks and streams that became overwhelmed on Saturday an opportunity to recede. Larger rivers will then rise as the flood waters drain downstream. Ice jam flooding will also have to be monitored.
Actual temperatures on Sunday will fall just short of the normal high of 49 F. A brisk wind will hold AccuWeather.com RealFeel® temperatures to the 30s.

Monday is shaping up to be the nicest day of the new week as the winds calm and some sunshine prevails. Temperatures will rise into the lower 60s, making the day feel more like April.
Monday's warmth, however, will only be a tease for residents wishing to put a nail in the coffin on winter.

The passage of a cold front will cause the air to turn progressively cooler Tuesday through Wednesday. The middle of the new week will feel more like a typical February day with temperatures failing to rise to the 40-degree mark and much lower AccuWeather.com RealFeel® temperatures.
The new week is likely to be a preview of what is to come during the next several weeks.

"While there could be a day or two of warmth ahead of any cold front, the weather pattern is not favoring any sustained warmth across the East into April," stated AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Mark Paquette. "There can even be some really chilly shots as well."
