After several days of springlike warmth, seasonable temperatures are in store for Harrisburg, Pennsylvania from Thursday into early next week with a storm forecast to affect the area this weekend.
Temperatures will peak within a few degrees of 50 F from Thursday through Monday as a dose of cooler air settles in before the end of the week. This follows the 60-degree Fahrenheit temperatures and warmest weather since early December on Thursday.
A storm is forecast to move into that cooler air Friday night and Saturday.

That storm will bring rain to the region.
Spotty showers are forecast to occur in the wake of the storm on Sunday.
The outlook for Tuesday, St. Patrick's Day looks to be wet at times ahead of a push of chillier weather for the balance of the week.

The typical mid-March temperatures and extensive snowcover this week could lead to rises on area creeks and rivers as water from natural melting is released and ice begins to break up.
Even though air temperatures may stay above freezing in urban areas, road and sidewalk temperatures can cool to below freezing at night especially in the suburbs. Motorists and pedestrians should be on the lookout for patches of black ice into the morning drive with the shift in darkness associated with daylight saving time.
