The Dallas-Fort Worth area will endure a dramatic drop in temperature into late in the week before slowly climbing closer to normal averages over the weekend.
Normal daytime highs for this time of year are in the mid-60s F. However, highs for much of the week will fail to reach the 45-degree mark.

"Skies will be dry after, but it will be really cold," said AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Maggie Samuhel.
Overnight lows could drop into the mid-20s at times.

Temperatures will be on a slight rise into Friday with expected highs in the low 40s. Even with sunshine, conditions will be brisk, Samuhel said.
The continued climb will bring weekend daytime highs in the 50s, but still far from the seasonal average.
