Showers threaten to put a damper on Saturday's 167th running of the Crabbie's Grand National.
The popular Grand National will be run Saturday afternoon at 4:15 p.m. BST at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool, England.
A storm system, however, will prevent the race from being run underneath abundant sunshine. Instead, jockeys and spectators will have to contend with a couple of showers throughout the day.
That is not to say that Saturday will be a washout since a substantial amount of rain is not expected. Parts of the day will even be dry.
Despite the clouds and showers, temperatures will still rise to a mild high of 16 C (60 F) on Saturday. Temperatures will be around that mark at race time.

The average high temperature for April at Crosby, the nearest climate station to Liverpool, is 12.2 C (54 F), according to the United Kingdom's Met Office.
"[The Grand National] is the most famous chase in the world and one of the biggest tests for racehorse and rider around two circuits of the iconic Grand National course--with 30 fences to be jumped as four miles, three furlongs and about 110 yards are covered," was stated in the event's official media guide.
Roughly 600 million people are expected to watch the race live on television.
Saturday will be preceded by a stray shower on Friday with a wetter Sunday to follow. The storms delivering the wet weather will help to scour out the pollutants leading to poor air quality across England.
