The drought continues this week in the Los Angeles area, but there will be plenty of sunshine each day.
It continues as residents during 2013 went though their driest year on record, the National Weather Service said. No rain is in the forecast for the foreseeable future.
Temperatures will be above seasonal normals reaching into the lower to upper 70s each day.

Downtown Los Angeles received 3.6 inches of rain in 2013, which is only 24 percent of its normal annual rainfall.
The previous record for driest year on record for the area was 4.08 inches in 1947 and in 1953.
