on Tuesday, but also made its way across the Mississippi Valley and into
the Southeast. Hard freezing warnings were issued across the Gulf
Coast, while wind chill warnings were issued in a handful of
northeastern states. Ladysmith, Wis., recorded a morning low of -38

reported a midday total of 12.0 inches of snow.
Meanwhile, a cold frontal boundary extended from the upper Intermountain

across Oregon and Washington, while heavy snow impacted the Cascades.
Quillayute, Wash., reported a midday total of 0.92 inches of rain. The
Southwest stayed clear of wet weather on Tuesday.
