The drought situation will continue to worsen in Southern California in the coming days, as no rain is in sight for the region.
"It is going to stay dry for the foreseeable future with no rain over the next 10 days," AccuWeather Meteorologist Ken Clark.
Temperatures this weekend and into next week will be consistently in the upper 70s. Monday and Tuesday, highs will near the 80-degree mark.
"In the short term, Sunday through Tuesday will be getting warm and locally windy with the strongest winds late Sunday night into Monday," Clark said.
The strongest winds will occur Monday. Gusts between 20 and 40 mph are possible.
Locally strong winds are conceivable Tuesday and Wednesday as well.

2013 was the driest calendar year on record for Los Angeles, and next week will bring no relief from the area's severe drought conditions.
Despite being in the rainy season, the region has been exceedingly dry for a prolonged period of time and conditions are only continuing to worsen.
"Southern California needs rain and it needs rain badly," Clark said.
If the area does not receive some significant rainfall soon, there will be a high fire risk throughout the region.

However, the long-term consequences of the lack of rain could impact the area's economy.
"If it doesn't get better than it is right now, the state could experience some economic problems because of it," Clark said. "It could have a big economic impact over the next six to twelve months."
Farming is one of the industries that could be hit hard economically if the situation does not right itself soon.
