Return of Steamy, Stormy Weather for Philadelphia

The sunshine and low humidity from this weekend will soon be replaced by the return of thunderstorms and steamy air in Philadelphia.
High pressure that provided perfect weather for weekend outdoor activities give way to rounds of thunderstorms dropping down from the Great Lakes and eastern Canada for this workweek.
AccuWeather.com meteorologists will be monitoring each round of thunderstorms closely for the possibility of a cluster of severe weather erupting over the Great Lakes, then dropping southeastward into the Northeast or mid-Atlantic.
There is concern for drenching and damaging thunderstorm to rattle Syracuse, New York City and Boston Monday and Monday night.

Monday night is when a shower or thunderstorm will reach Philadelphia, but the majority of the heavy thunderstorms will bypass the city to the north.
Otherwise on Monday, clouds will dim the sun more often over Philadelphia than during the weekend. Afternoon temperatures will be seasonably warm as relatively low humidity prevails.

A stray shower or thunderstorm will still be around on Tuesday when noticeably more humid air will stream into Philadelphia.
The higher humidity will combine with highs in the upper 80s to create AccuWeather.com RealFeel® temperatures in the middle to upper 90s Tuesday afternoon.

The sticky weather will persist for Wednesday when yet another round of showers and thunderstorms will occur. Wednesday will likely prove to be the most active day of the week.
Another dry spell may unfold later in the week and for the weekend, but could get interrupted for a day by another storm system dropping down from eastern Canada.
