The weather will remain sunny and hot with temperatures in the low 100s from Thursday through the weekend as thousands of people flock to the city to participate in the three-day festival hosted by Bishop T.D. Jakes.
Night-time lows will remain in the mid-70s for the entire week, cooling down the city a bit for the evening hours.
While temperatures in the 100s are not uncommon for the city in August, this week's temperatures will be two to four degrees higher than last August.
Despite this week's forecast for sunny skies and heat, the fall forecast brings mid-season severe storms to the area.
