Hurricane Cleo was the first major hurricane of the 1964 Atlantic
hurricane season. Cleo strengthened into a powerful Category 3 hurricane
in the northern Caribbean before taking a turn to Miami. Cleo hit Miami
as a Category 2 hurricane with sustained winds up to 105 mph and gusts
up to 135. The storm was responsible for millions of dollars of damage
in the region.
