Showers to Cool Seattle Through Holiday Weekend

An area of low pressure sitting west of Washington state will dominate the weather for Seattle for the next few days.
After a few passing showers early in the week, Thursday will yield more widespread rainfall and cooler weather.
Temperatures will drop to 73 degrees after early-week highs in the upper 70s.

The month of August has been a particularly warm one for the city, with average temperatures sitting three degrees above normal.
Cooler, more fall-like weather will arrive Sunday and Monday, just in time for the holiday weekend.
Monday's high will likely remain in the upper 60s.
