Cleveland Starts Week Warm, Stormy

The temperature will be on the rise in Cleveland early this week as heat and humidity build in from the Plains.
In addition to the seasonably warm temperatures, a system moving through the Great Lakes will bring thunderstorms to the city, some of which may be severe.
Those heading south of the city to Cuyahoga Falls for the Honda Civic Tour on Monday should not have to worry about rain for the concert as these storms will manage to hold off until Tuesday.
Although thunderstorms are in the forecast for both Tuesday and Wednesday, storms on Tuesday hold the greatest potential to become locally severe with gusty winds and drenching downpours.

The high temperature in Cleveland hit 87 degrees on Monday and is forecast to climb into the upper 80s again Tuesday, nearly 10 degrees above normal for late August.
Factors such as humidity and the amount of sunshine will make the AccuWeather.com RealFeel® temperature climb into the low to mid-90s during the heat of the afternoon.
While above normal, these temperatures will not set any records for the city.

Drier weather is in store for the end of the week as the system moving through the Great Lakes pushes to the south and east.
Temperatures will also ease a bit heading into the Labor Day weekend with highs in the mid-80s.
