Minneapolis is in store for a mainly cold week with the potential for snow before the weekend.
Temperatures will hover in the mid-40s in the beginning of the week with some snow showers on Tuesday.

"It'll be a dreary day as skies will be cloudy and showers will occur throughout the day," AccuWeather Meteorologist Evan Duffey said.
Temperatures will take a slight drop into Thursday, eventually falling about 10 degrees below average for this time of year.

On Thursday, the cold air may yield snow showers due to an incoming clipper system. Where snow doesn't fall, rain is likely.
Snow and rain is possible on Friday as well with highs failing to reach the 40-degree mark.
However, the arctic air will recede by the start of the weekend. Highs could reach near 50 on Saturday.
