Atlanta-area residents can expect fairly typical springtime conditions to last through the middle of the week.
Conditions will warm up through Tuesday, according to AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist John Gresiak, who added that a ridge of high pressure will continue to bring sunshine to the region.
Daytime highs will reach the 70s by Tuesday, which is right around normal for this time of the year in the city.
A southerly flow will deliver some moisture and clouds to the region on Wednesday, but no rain is expected during the day, according to Gresiak. However, there could be some showers or a strong thunderstorm during the evening hours, he said.
The Braves will host the Washington Nationals in game two of their season-opening series Wednesday night. The threat of stormy weather could lead to weather delays or a postponement.
