A Few Severe Thunderstorms Expected in the Plains and Southeast (FORECAST)

April 5,2016
Thunderstorms will return to parts of the Plains, Midwest and Southeast through Wednesday. But despite April's notoriously tornadic reputation, the severe threat will remain rather low.
This same area of low pressure will also bring snow and strong winds to parts of the Upper Midwest and Plains states.

The low threat of severe weather is due to limited moisture and instability with this low-pressure system. The strong cold front in the wake of Winter Storm Ursula helped scour out low-level moisture early this week.
