  • Tropical Depression Nine formed in the central Atlantic Ocean, localted more than 1,000 miles east of the Lesser Antilles.
  • An environment of increasing wind shear and dry air will prevent this depression from gaining any significant strength.
  • The National Hurricane Center is currently not forecasting this depression to become a tropical storm.
  • This system is no threat to land and is forecast to dissipate in about three days or so.
