September 4,2015; 10:30AM,EDT

Showers and thunderstorms leading up to Labor Day can be locally severe, but will depart by the holiday itself for the Minneapolis area.
Very warm and humid conditions will prevail into Sunday evening with the chance for picnic-spoiling showers and thunderstorms.
High temperatures will range from the middles 80s to near 90 F into Sunday. Combined with high humidity, some sunshine, wind and other conditions will push AccuWeather RealFeel® Temperatures into the 90s.
For people partaking in strenuous exercise or manual labor should take frequent breaks, seek shade and drink plenty of water or electrolyte-balancing fluids through Sunday.

The conditions will be uncomfortable for people attending the Minnesota State Fair in St. Paul. Labor Day will be the best day to attend the fair and other outdoor activities as showers and thunderstorms depart and a more refreshing air mass builds into the region.
As a strong cold front begins to pick up forward speed, the risk of thunderstorms with gusty winds, heavy rain and hail will increase through Sunday.

By Labor Day, the front will have crossed the region and should send showers and thunderstorms well to the east.
According to AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Matt Rinde, "After the front passes, cooler, drier and more comfortable weather will settle in on Monday."

By Tuesday, the high temperature will be 15-20 degrees lower, when compared to Saturday.
A disturbance will develop to the east of the Rockies and slide through the region into Tuesday night. This will bring a round of showers to the area before a tranquil few day of weather begins Wednesday.
On Wednesday, high pressure will establish itself in the Midwest with sunshine with temperatures slightly below average. By the middle of next week, the normal high temperature is 75 F.
