Before and After Images of the Valley Fire Destruction in Middletown, California

More than 500 homes and hundreds of other structures have been consumed in the 70,000 acres burned by the Valley Fire in California since late Saturday. Middletown, California, was especially hard hit. Photos and videos show some areas totally consumed by the fire, and others nearby unharmed.

In this first image, notice how most of the homes on the left side of the street are gone along with the blackened grass behind where the homes once stood.
