As a taste of spring spreads over much of the U.S. this week, Minneapolis will experience well above-average temperatures.
Abundant sunshine will be around through Friday as temperatures steadily rise into the upper 50s by midweek, which is nearly 20 degrees above normal for this time of year.
This is the ideal week for those who have been waiting for winter's grip to ease so they can enjoy outdoor activities more frequently.
Evening temperatures will hover in the mid-40s through Wednesday.
By Thursday, highs are forecast to reach 60 F. The last time Minneapolis experienced temperatures in the 60s was back on Oct. 27.
Dry weather is expected to remain into the weekend.
