Weather Underground Forecast for Friday,March 6,2015

A low pressure system and associated cold front will move away from the East Coast on Friday, while high pressure and cooler temperatures will continue spreading in from the North. As the system pulls eastward and away from the Mid-Atlantic states, the tail end of the cold front will allow for a few scattered showers to persist for parts of Florida throughout the day on Friday. Expect rainfall totals to remain less than a half of an inch across Florida on Friday. Behind this system, a ridge of high pressure moves into the region, bringing more cool air from the North. Expect temperatures to remain 10 to 30 degrees below normal for the Southern Plains through the Northeast. Washington DC will see highs in the upper 20s to lower 30s, Atlanta will see highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s, and Philadelphia and New York City will remain in the mid- to upper 20s.

Meanwhile to the north, a few small troughs of low pressure will dip into the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes region on Friday, bringing a few scattered snow showers to Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan. Elsewhere, high pressure over the Western states will maintain warm and dry conditions for the West Coast and Southwest.
