Dry and mild weather will continue to hold across the Minneapolis area into the new week with the possibility to reach near-record highs late in the weekend.
"The warmth could set a record on Sunday," AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Andy Mussoline said.
Warmth will spread into the city from the Southwest and it will be accompanied by sunshine for the most part, he said.
Highs on Sunday will near 70 F, which can tie or break the record high of 69 F set in 1927.
